The Layman Law Firm has been active in supporting awareness for the prevention of traumatic brain injury in our community since 1985. March is Brain Injury Awareness Month and time reminds our community that traumatic brain injury does not discriminate. It can strike anyone at any time. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention “In 2010, in the United States, 2.5 million emergency department visits, hospitalizations, or deaths were associated with TBI, either alone or with other injuries or illnesses.” Especially vulnerable are youth ages 15-24.
Layman Law Firm supported the local Brain Injury fundraising auction on March 6th, 2014 and is active in education and supporting rehabilitation with sponsorship of the St. Lukes Rehabilitation Community Center. John Layman’s position on traumatic brain injury is PREVENTION, PREVENTION PREVENTION!
