TIMOTHY B. FENNESSY is an attorney with Layman Law Firm, PLLP and practices in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, serious personal injury, contract interpretation, product liability, and employment law. He is a member of the Board of Advisors for Gonzaga University School of Law, the Spokane County and Washington State Bar Associations, as well as the Washington State Association for Justice.

Mr. Fennessy attended Gonzaga University, where he received both his B.A., cum laude, and his J.D., and has practiced law in Spokane since 1983. He has argued cases to the Washington Court of Appeals, the Washington State Supreme Court and the Idaho Supreme Court.

After starting with a general practice firm in 1983, Tim began his personal injury and medical negligence focus as an associate with Dan McKelvey, Jr., in 1985. A long-time member of the Washington State Association for Justice, Tim has served on their Public Affairs, Continuing Legal Education and Spokane Core Group Committees, as well has having been a speaker at numerous WSTLA Seminars.

A native of Montana, Tim has practiced litigation in Spokane for more than twenty-five years. His work has included representation of individuals at mediation, arbitration, private trial, jury trial and in the appellate courts of both Washington and Idaho. He has also served as the arbitrator for a number of Spokane County Superior Court matters and as Settlement Guardian ad Litem (SGAL) for settlement of minor claims in cases involving injuries to minors or their parents. He also works with a number of businesses on governance and business succession planning.
