Rich joined Layman, Layman & Robinson, PLLP after practicing for 15 years with Lee, Smart where he was a shareholder with the firm. From 1978 to 1988, Rich worked as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Spokane, Washington.
His litigation practice emphasizes personal injury, including construction law, products liability, major injuries, employment issues, and professional liability. A seasoned trial lawyer, he has tried to verdict well in excess of 100 jury trials, many of which involved catastrophic injuries and claims in the millions of dollars. He has tried cases throughout the entire State of Washington in both State and Federal Courts.
Rich is admitted to and has appeared before the State and Federal Trial Courts, the Washington Court of Appeals and Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the US Supreme Court. He has been honored in each of the last 5 years by his peers as one of Washington's "Super lawyers".
